Internet Access
The CMS provides access to the eduroam Wifi network. Participants can obtain the configuration instructions from their home institution. If your institution does not provide eduroam, please ask the organisers for a wireless internet token to connect to the UniOfCam Wifi network. (Note: older Android devices (version 2.3.x) are no longer able to connect to our University eduroam service.)
Getting to Cambridge
We recommend using Stansted airport north of London, which has very easy transport links to Cambridge by rail (half hour journey) and coach (one hour journey). Other London airports such as Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick are also connected to Cambridge by rail and coach (though with longer travel times).
Train travel: You can find rail timetables here. Notice that in the UK, taking a "return ticket" is usually much cheaper than taking two "single tickets". If you need to keep your ticket (for example to claim back travel expenses), then do not put it into the stiles when leaving Cambridge station: show it to the attendant and say that you have to keep it, and he/she will let you through.
Coach travel: You can find coach timetables and book tickets here.
Hire cars: Any of the London airports will have car rental firms, which you can find on the appropriate airport websites. Cambridge is serviced by the M11 coming up from London. For the Centre of Mathematical Sciences, and for Fitzwilliam and Jesus College, take the third Cambridge exit, which is junction 13 on the M11.

If you do not make the opening reception, the conference talks commence on Monday 30th June at 9:15am in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, also marked on the map.
Registration
We will be registering participants on three main occasions: (i) at the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening; (ii) before talks start, 8:45am–9:15am Monday morning, in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences; (iii) in the first coffee break, 11:00am–11:30am Monday morning, again in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences. If you happen to arrive after Monday morning, please contact one of the organisers on your arrival, and we will see to your registration then.
Weather and Clothing
Cambridge is said to be one of the driest places in Britain; however, it is still in Britain. While summer can get reasonably warm, it is very likely that there will also be some rain and wind; so be sure to pack coats and umbrellas. For the Wicken Fen walk, you should have some shoes you don't mind getting muddy. For the conference dinner, smart dress is appropriate.
Getting around Cambridge
Most places in Cambridge are easy to reach on foot. There are some buses around which you can use; here is the route map. Uni4 and Citi4 are the only routes that go near the Maths department. You could also hire a bike, for example with Station Cycles. Taxi numbers are for example 01223 715715 (Panther) or 01223 704704 (camcab).
